Job Vacancy – Group Head (Strategic Procurement)

Role Overview:

Lead group‑wide procurement strategy, optimize spend, drive cost savings, and strengthen procurement excellence across diversified business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Category Strategy & Spend Consolidation: Analyze Rs. ~1.2 billion controllable spend across direct/indirect categories (fuel, fleet, spares, rent, utilities, telecom, insurance, travel, stationery, packaging, IT, professional services) and implement group‑wide contracts.
• Value Delivery: Target 5–8% YoY savings and achieve cost avoidance through negotiations, demand management, and standardization.
• Procurement Operating Model: Design and roll out centralized procurement policies, governance, and ERP/SRM processes.
• Supplier Management: Develop strategic supplier partnerships, SLAs, and performance scorecards.
• ESG & Sustainability: Drive initiatives such as paperless programs, sustainable sourcing, and supplier ESG assessments.
• Risk & Compliance: Ensure compliance with HSE, anti‑bribery, supplier code of conduct, and audit requirements.
• Digital & Data: Build spend analytics dashboards, drive procurement digitalization, and manage contract lifecycles.
• Team Leadership & Change: Build a center‑led procurement team and drive adoption across BU and JV stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Professional certification (CIPS or MBA) highly preferred
• 10+ years procurement experience, with 5+ years leading group/regional procurement in conglomerate, FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, or similar sector
• Proven track record of delivering Rs. 600–1000 million annual savings through strategic sourcing
• Experience managing diverse spend categories (fleet, facilities, telecom, insurance, travel, stationery)
• Strong data analytics capability and ERP systems expertise (SAP Ariba preferred)
• Exposure to ESG frameworks, policy governance, and audit/compliance in MNC settings
• Experience driving sustainability initiatives (waste reduction, paperless/digital transformation)
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence MDs/CEOs across multiple BUs and JV partners
