Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Assistant Insurance Broker to support client servicing, policy renewals, and new business coordination. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining client retention, and assisting division managers with insurance broking operations in a fast-paced financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Servicing & Retention
- Provide high-quality service to all clients and maintain strong relationships
- Handle customer follow-ups and service calls promptly
- Assist clients with general insurance enquiries
- Check policy schedules and ensure documentation accuracy
- Maintain records of all client interactions in CRM systems
- Renewals & New Business Support
- Manage pre-renewal communications and requests
- Prepare renewal terms and review policy coverages
- Obtain quotes and requotes from insurers
- Support new business enquiries and quotation processes
- Complete renewal and new business quotes via broking platforms
- Insurer & Underwriter Coordination
- Assist with negotiation of policy terms for renewals, endorsements, and new business
- Ensure correct usage of insurer online systems and broking platforms such as INSIGHT
- Operations & Process Management
- Coordinate with offshore teams on workflows and claims matters
- Assist in debtor management coordination processes
- Support presentation reports and business correspondence
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend workflow improvements
- Self-Development & Compliance
- Participate in internal and external training programs/webinars
- Ensure compliance with client disclosure requirements and internal procedures
- Maintain accurate and timely processing standards
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, Management, or related field
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in insurance, financial services, or client servicing within insurance broking
- Exposure to Australian insurance processes will be an added advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills
- Good understanding of general insurance products and underwriting processes
- Experience with CRM systems and insurance/broking platforms
