Assistant Sales Manager - Public Sales( 3WR6V76V)
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Sales Manager – Public Sector to support sales growth within government ministries, state institutions, and public-sector organizations.
This role focuses on strengthening existing public-sector relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the end-to-end sales process including tenders, proposals, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing sales strategies targeting government and public-sector institutions.
- Maintain and expand strong relationships with existing public-sector clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the public sector.
- Support the preparation of proposals, tenders, quotations, and presentations.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely solution delivery and post-sales support.
- Conduct market research on industry trends, competitor activity, and procurement processes.
- Track sales performance and generate reports to support target achievement.
- Participate in promotional activities, meetings, and public-sector engagement events.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum G.C.E. A/L qualification; Degree or professional qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management is an advantage.
- 2–4 years of experience in sales or business development (public-sector sales experience is a strong advantage).
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and tender procedures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build long-term professional relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Age preferably below 35 years.
