Coordinator, Security Systems Management
Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented Coordinator, Security Systems Management to support the administration, monitoring, maintenance, and compliance of smart security systems within a telecommunication environment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing security systems such as access control, CCTV, parking systems, visitor management systems, e-work permits, e-gate passes, and other smart security features. This role requires strong IT system management knowledge, networking exposure, compliance awareness, vendor coordination skills, and the ability to ensure security systems remain operational, reliable, and aligned with required standards.
Key Responsibilities
Security Systems Administration
- Administer and manage smart security systems including access control, CCTV, parking systems, visitor management, e-work permits, e-gate passes, and related platforms.
- Ensure all security systems are operational, updated, and maintained effectively.
- Monitor system performance and coordinate timely action for faults, risks, or system issues.
- Maintain accurate inventories, records, databases, and system documentation.
- Support smooth daily operation of physical and smart security system infrastructure.
System Maintenance, Risk & Issue Management
- Identify system faults and coordinate timely rectification with internal teams and external service providers.
- Escalate risks and implement mitigation actions promptly.
- Coordinate new implementations, system upgrades, and technical improvements.
- Support continuous improvement of security systems, smart features, and related processes.
- Ensure minimal disruption to security operations through proactive monitoring and follow-up.
Compliance, Data Privacy & Cybersecurity
- Ensure security systems are aligned with data privacy, information security, and cybersecurity standards.
- Support compliance with institutional standards such as ISO, ISMS, cybersecurity, and data privacy requirements.
- Coordinate vulnerability assessments and penetration testing with IT teams and service providers.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to security systems and compliance.
- Ensure security system processes follow governing policies, procedures, and required standards.
Vendor, Contract & SLA Management
- Coordinate with external service providers for system support, maintenance, and fault rectification.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure contracts, SLAs, and KPIs are followed.
- Support procurement processes related to security system requirements.
- Ensure timely vendor payment coordination and required documentation.
- Maintain proper records of vendor activities, service reports, and system-related agreements.
Candidate Profile
- Credit pass in English, Mathematics, and Science at GCE O/L.
- NVQ Level 6 in IT, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a Degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT, technology, security systems, telecommunications, or a related area.
- Strong computer literacy with advanced Excel knowledge.
- Good knowledge of IT system management and networking.
- Understanding of smart security systems, access control, CCTV, visitor management, or related platforms will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of data privacy, cybersecurity, ISO, ISMS, or audit requirements will be preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Results-oriented with the ability to manage system issues and meet deadlines.
