Job Summary
The National Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing nationwide sales operations to achieve revenue growth, market expansion, and customer retention objectives. This role develops and executes strategic sales plans, manages regional sales teams, builds strong client relationships, and ensures alignment with company goals and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Growth
- Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive activities.
- Establish annual, quarterly, and monthly sales objectives and forecasts.
- Drive expansion into new territories, channels, and customer segments.
- Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate regional sales managers and sales representatives.
- Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing sales professionals.
- Foster a results-driven and collaborative sales culture.
- Client & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.
- Negotiate major contracts and pricing agreements.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Sales Operations & Reporting
- Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior leadership.
- Manage sales budgets, forecasting, and pipeline reporting.
- Ensure CRM systems are updated and utilized effectively.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance teams to support business objectives.
- Market Intelligence
- Analyze sales data and customer insights to improve sales effectiveness.
- Monitor competitor activity and recommend strategic responses.
- Provide input into product development and marketing initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of sales experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms and MS Office tools.
- Ability to travel nationwide as required.
