Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and commercially aware Operations Manager to support supplier coordination, shipment follow up, order management, sales coordination, marketing support, inventory management, and operational reporting within the automobile distribution industry.
The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating with overseas suppliers, shipping agents, sales teams, marketing teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth business operations, timely stock availability, accurate documentation, and effective execution of brand, sales, and promotional activities.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier and Shipment Coordination
- Work closely with overseas suppliers to coordinate stock availability, order updates, and timely communication.
- Liaise with shipping agents to ensure shipments are handled efficiently and goods are received on time.
- Monitor and follow up on orders, shipments, and documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain proper records of orders, shipment details, supplier communications, and related documents.
- Coordinate internally with relevant teams to ensure smooth operational flow and timely updates.
Operational Administration
- Assist in handling administrative and operational tasks required to support daily business activities.
- Ensure operational records are maintained accurately and are easily accessible for reference and tracking.
- Support internal communication between sales, operations, suppliers, and management.
- Follow up on pending operational matters and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Brand and Marketing Coordination
- Assist in planning and executing brand and marketing campaigns.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
- Coordinate with sales and design teams to ensure consistent brand messaging.
- Manage digital marketing support activities, including social media content, promotions, and analytics.
- Support dealer marketing initiatives and promotional material development.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in marketing, brand management, operations coordination, sales coordination, or a related role.
- Experience in the automobile industry will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with social media marketing, content creation, and
- basic design tools will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in English and Sinhala.
- Tamil language skills will be an added advantage.
- Ability to coordinate with suppliers, shipping agents, internal teams, and sales teams effectively.
- Strong follow up skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple operational, marketing, and sales coordination tasks at the same time.
- Professional, proactive, and able to work in a fast paced distribution environment.
