Role Overview
We are seeking a professional and well-presented Receptionist to manage front office operations, welcome visitors, handle calls, support administrative tasks, and ensure a positive first impression within a banking environment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing reception duties, coordinating visitor interactions, supporting internal teams, and maintaining a professional and organized front office area. This role requires excellent communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to handle day-to-day front office responsibilities with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Front Office & Reception Management
- Welcome visitors, clients, and stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner.
- Manage reception area operations and ensure the front office is clean, organized, and presentable.
- Answer, screen, and direct phone calls to the relevant departments or personnel.
- Handle general inquiries and provide accurate information where required.
- Maintain visitor records and support access coordination as per internal procedures.
Administrative Support
- Support day-to-day administrative tasks required by the office.
- Assist with document handling, correspondence, and basic record maintenance.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support smooth office operations.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, courier coordination, and related documentation.
- Support meeting room coordination and visitor arrangements when required.
Customer Service & Communication
- Provide a professional and friendly experience to all visitors and callers.
- Communicate clearly in English and Sinhala.
- Use Tamil language skills where required to support customer and visitor communication.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling information.
- Escalate inquiries or concerns to the relevant team members promptly.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in reception, front office, customer service, or a similar role.
- Experience in a banking, financial services, corporate, or customer-facing environment will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala.
- Tamil language skills will be an added advantage.
- Pleasant personality with a professional appearance and attitude.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Good organizational and coordination abilities.
- Ability to handle calls, visitors, and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Computer literacy and basic knowledge of MS Office will be preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a professional banking environment.
