Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Manager / Manager – Business Development (IT Services Specific) to support business promotion, investor engagement, strategic partnerships, and sector development within a large-scale real estate and business district environment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, developing propositions for IT services-related investments, building local and international stakeholder relationships, supporting investor proposals, and assisting in negotiations with prospective investors. This role requires strong business development experience, exposure to IT services and international markets, and the ability to work with senior stakeholders in a highly professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Strategy
- Define marketable overall and sub-sector propositions for IT services-related opportunities.
- Conduct research and benchmarking on global and regional IT services trends.
- Identify potential IT services, technology, and investment opportunities within local and international markets.
- Develop strategic business development plans and recommendations to support sector growth.
- Present strategies and business development plans to senior management.
Investor Engagement & Partnership Development
- Build strategic relationships with local and foreign entities in the IT services industry.
- Facilitate partnerships by leveraging relationships with industry stakeholders.
- Maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders locally and internationally.
- Assist potential investors in developing business models and investment proposals.
- Provide practical solutions to address concerns raised by industry stakeholders and prospective investors.
International Market Promotion
- Recommend and implement industry-specific strategies to penetrate international markets.
- Support international roadshows, investor meetings, events, and promotional initiatives.
- Promote IT services-related investment opportunities to prospective investors.
- Provide market insights and business intelligence to support investment promotion activities.
- Support investor conversion through professional follow-up and relationship management.
Proposal, Negotiation & Transaction Support
- Assist in preparing investment proposals, business models, presentations, and commercial documents.
- Support negotiations of contracts and agreements with prospective investors.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to move business opportunities forward.
- Maintain accurate updates on investor pipelines, discussions, and business development activities.
- Ensure business development efforts are aligned with strategic objectives and market priorities.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in the IT sector, including strategy, consulting, and business development.
- Experience in IT Global Delivery, Capability Centres, FinTech, or EdTech will be preferred.
- Exposure to multinational services businesses, international markets, and the Indian IT sector will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of tax, regulatory, and legal environments.
- Strong client-facing skills with experience in negotiating and closing prospects.
- Strong business development background with a proven ability to identify and convert opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to research markets and develop business strategies.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
