EXECUTIVE - COST ACCOUNTS
Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and
detail-oriented Cost Account Executive to join our team at Mercantile Fortunes
(pvt) Ltd, a leading provider of premium wood flooring solutions. The ideal
candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing costs, pricing, and
budgets related to production and sales. You will play a key role in optimizing
cost structures while ensuring profitability and helping guide financial
decision-making within our operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and analyze the cost of raw
materials, labor, manufacturing, and overhead expenses related to wood flooring
production.

Assist in creating and managing
cost budgets for different production projects and monitor adherence to them.
·
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and
annual cost reports that detail expenses and variances.
·
Track inventory of raw materials,
finished goods, and supplies to ensure optimal stock levels and
cost-efficiency.
·
Collaborate with the sales team to
develop pricing strategies that reflect market trends, material costs, and
company profitability goals.
·
Identify areas where cost savings
can be achieved and work with production teams to implement cost-effective
measures.
·
Ensure adherence to financial policies,
industry regulations, and auditing standards.
·
Assist in forecasting future
financial costs related to production and sales, ensuring the company remains
profitable and efficient.
Qualifications:
·
Full or Parttime Accounting
Qualification Business Administration, or a related field.
·
Proven experience (2+ years) in
cost / Finance accounting field or in a similar financial role, ideally within construction
or a related industry.
·
Strong understanding of cost
accounting principles, financial reporting, and budget management.
·
Proficiency in financial software
(e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms).
·
Advanced Excel skills for financial
analysis and reporting.
·
Knowledge of the construction industry
and manufacturing processes is preferred.
·
Ability to communicate financial
information to non-financial stakeholders.
