Job Title: Executive - Supply Chain & Commercials

Location: Kelanimulla

Working Type: On-site

Working Time: 8.00 AM to 5.30 PM

Type of Appointment: Permanent / Full-time



Key Responsibilities



  • End-to-end management of activities related to import/export shipments.
  • Coordinate with regulatory departments such as BOI, Customs, and government agencies for obtaining permits, approvals, and permissions for shipments.
  • Provide regular updates to overseas customers regarding shipments, adhering to their formats and requirements.
  • Collaborate with freight forwarders (both nominated by the company and customers) to negotiate rates, routes, and arrange shipments.
  • Ensure shipments are ready for handover by coordinating with suppliers and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Continuously improve and streamline commercial operations.
  • Ensure timely completion of production-related reporting and share with key stakeholders.
  • Liaise with production plants and third-party companies to achieve Desired In Full On Time (DIFOT) deliveries.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in the Commercial and Logistics industry.
  • A qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Shipping is mandatory.
  • Experience in working with diverse teams and overseas customers.
  • Familiarity with freight forwarding, Incoterms negotiation, and shipment planning.
  • Experience in manufacturing and import/export logistics is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Bonded Warehouses and 3P companies is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and solution-driven approach with a strategic mindset.
  • Knowledge of BOI, Customs procedures, freight forwarders, courier companies, and Incoterms 2010.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in English and Sinhala.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, especially during month-end.
