Assistant Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage vendor payments, track rider/delivery agent settlements, and ensure timely invoicing for corporate clients.
• Monitor daily cash inflows from COD (Cash on Delivery) services and perform bank reconciliations.
• Support SVAT, VAT, NBT, and other statutory local tax filings in accordance with Sri Lankan regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accounting software and collaborate with the operations team to resolve billing discrepancies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and/or partly qualified in CA, CIMA, or ACCA.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a similar accounting role. Experience in logistics, courier, or e‑commerce sectors will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and hands‑on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or ERP systems).
• Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
